Richard B. Cheney is a distinguished American public servant, businessman and politician. Cheney was well-known on Washington's political stage. George W. Bush will be the fourth U.S. President. Bush has appointed Cheney as his vice-presidential running mate in 2000, owing to his intelligence and judgment. Dick Cheney served as the chief of staff for the president, served as a Member of Congress and was the secretary of defense. Republicans and Democrats all respect his honesty. Cheney claims that the position he will play in the Obama administration as of a frank but discreet advisor to Bush. Cheney has stated in accepting his appointment as Republican vice president that he would like to be a president candidate who can cooperate cross-partisanally and with their political adversaries with kindness and with a common cause. Richard Bruce Cheney is the son of Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on the 30th of January 1941, in Lincoln Nebraska. When he was 13 years old Richard and his family relocated across Nebraska, eventually moving to Casper in the state of Casper where his father was head of Casper's U.S. Department of Agriculture local district for soil conservation.
