Allison Brooks Janney (born April 14th, 1970) is an American actor. Allison Brooks Janey is an American actress. Allison Janney rose to fame after nearly twenty years performing on stage in regional areas. Her character in the role of White House press secretary C.J. quickly became a hit. Gregg in the wildly popular and acclaimed television drama The West Wing (NBC 1999-2006). Allison Janney always has been tardy to the party. After she graduated from university, her first ever date was not a reality. In spite of auditioning at her 23rd birthday, she did not appear on stage until she was in her 30s. She didn't make the decision she did consciously. It's not like the producers were worried as Janney has worn a wig on the show from the beginning. "I'm like, 'Guys, I've been wearing a hairdo from the beginning of season 1, but no one realized it,' she explained to Fallon and added that everybody in the world knows that it's there now. Janney is planning to keep her wig as to keep as a souvenir. During the initial seasons of her series, Janney made anywhere from $125,000 to $250,000 per episode. At the end of the third season, her co-star Allison Janey was earning an approximate $200,000 for each show.
